_____Dita von Teese often called the “queen of burlesque” brought undressing to an art.  Her burlesque performances based mainly on pin-up art and are inspired films and fashion from Golden Age of Hollywood.

Sensual music, obsessed with vintage lingerie and fancy prop makes show more modern and more spectacular than old burlesque. The best known are giant martini glass, gilded Victorian birdcage, carousel horse, giant powder compact, a gleaming red filigree heart and antique bathtub with a working shower head.

Before becoming a burlesque dance she working for several years in a lingerie shop, and than worked in the cosmetics department in a large store.  At the same time she started working as a dancer and stripper, and also was a fetish model.

She loves the 30′s and 50′s but her favorite era is the mid 40′s.  Blue – black hair in 40′s style or 30′s style, false lashes, red lip and eyeliner she has be wearing since 1992. As a professional costume designer she has extensive knowledge of costumes from different eras which combination gives her unique style.

Some of the many inspirations Heather Sweet’s career was model Bettie Page, actress Betty Grable and striptease star Gypsy Rose Lee and Lily St. Cyr.
